Nothing but the truth - Nada más que la verdad.
I hate having to talk about his again but....I don´t have words to really express how it feels inside to watch the news about Líbano and Israel.
Yesterday more than 30 children were killed. The images... Oh my God! But of course there is no God.
US, the universal police, the one that belives has the right to decide whether a country lives or dies... this time, when the whole world is condemning this.... they stayed with their mouth sut. Oh no wait. I´m being unfair. They actually said "no, that´s not cool". So am I asking they to go there and stop a war? That would actually be much better than going to other countries to start one. But no, I am not asking for that. I would ask them to stop selling weapons, that I would do. I would also ask them to stop acting like Israel, fucking Israel has actually the right to do what it´s doing.
But hey, this war didn´t just happen. It was programmed for October.
And do you wanna know why they are such good friends? The idea is to get Siria involved. Siria has nothing US wants, but Siria has an arrangement with Irán. If Siria goes to war, then Irán has to help. And that´s it! Irán does have oil. US is looking for an excuse to invade Irán for a long time. The one sayin massive destruction weapons got old, so they are trying this other strategy. Irak ended up being too expensive. And I´m not talking about human lives, Bush an his people seem to have oil instead of blood, so it doens´t matter howmany has to die.
And now a little bit in spanish, cos I want to be founf if someone from Uruguay google now that "googlear" is averbe in spanish too.
SegioGorzy.
And so you don´t think I´m closed minded and one-sided, I gotta say I watched Schindler´s List the other day. I saw the A&E played it several times and even on a uruguayan channel they played it too. Maybe they want to make people simpathaze with jews? I´m not naive. Fuck them and their attemps to buy people´s sympathy.
But I wathed it, yes. Wanna know what it made me think?
That jews/Israel didn´t learn a single thing. They are doing to others what it was done to them.
And now, staying onthe subject.... You gotta love Chavez. 2 frinds told me they find aweful how he´s always attacking (but with words, something US doesn´t know a thing about) Bush. And I just asked them: do you know what had happened to small poor countries with left sided goverments? Do your homework! Those presidents were simply erared by US. All the nouse Chavez makes.... it will make it harder to have him erased.
But going back to what I was talking.....
Chavez went to Irán. Hugged the president (that was elected by the people, just like him), and called him brother. And he said "Lo que Israel le está haciendo al Líbano es lo mismo que Hitler le hizo a los judíos: matar gente inocente" (what Israel is doing to Líbano is the same that Hitler did to jews: killing inocent people).
Whatever else I had to say about my life these days would sound so shallow. posted by Paula at 4:07 PM

Uruguay
I had to use that title cos the only common denominator that I could find to the post, is taht everything happened here, in my beautiful uruguay :-)A little sadness.
So the other day I found myself a little sad. First thing I tryed to do was to find out what was causing it. I went thtrough a lot of stuff in my head: the weather, a weird dream I had about a couple I barely know (and I will talk about it later), a conversation with my mom.... I don´t know, a whole bunch of stuff. And then I realize that it was just me realizing that soon I will have to go. I thought about me being able to stay. I am, I just know that isn´t practical, not to mention smart.
I just convinced myself that I have to enjoy what it´s left of time here while I can. I will have time to miss my family, my friends and everyting. And it worked.
Yes, I had a list of things I wanted to do that I didn´t do. But instead I did others that were just as good... or maybe even better.
This is still a great trip!
Crazy shit.
So I had this crazy dream.....
This couple I am not and I was never really related were about to break up.
I woke up and told myself that was so crazy, cos you know, they seem to be doing great after all.
But the feeling was still there, so I decided to give it a little time and do some "research".
I can´t be totally sure, but I think they did break up. And what I have to say it....
Shit! This is not the first time that I have a dream coming true. It´s amazing! Maybe I am a "charmed one" after all :-P
There can only be just one thing as good as a Cerati concert, and that is....
... another Cerati concert.
Oh yeah!
Of course it was AWESOME again.
I had an even better seat. He was just right there. I think the concert was better, but I don´t regret having gone to Bs As, cos there I saw the energy of the argentinians. They sang more and jumped more. You know, I was the was the one starting the dancing in Montevideo, ain´t that sth? Cos you know, I am a quiet person, but man, he can certainly wake me up! It was awesome.
And yes, that night I fell in love. The guy was there, in the middle of the stage, singinig.
Oh wait, now that I think about it... I was in love before :-P
Nice nice nice. And I´m sorry, but I think as soon as I have a decent connection, I´ll be sending at least one of the great 3 min movies I took either there or in the other concert.... or maybe one of each :-) posted by Paula at 2:52 PM

Nothing to say, so I say a lot.
Today was suppose to be one of those days when you do nothing interesting. I don´t really hve much to say, but the truth is.... I went to one of the highscholls where I used to worked, and not only it was nice to see my old coworkers, but also my ex students. So good, that tomorrow I´m going there again, but in the morning, to see the rest of my old students. It was nice, and of course I hve pics :-PAnd yes, I still think life is weird. I think I am quite unussual, and I also think that is my curse and my blessing :-) I don´t think I even want to be "just another one".
And yes, I thin it´s quite cute to find my old students on the street and see how they must have a nice memory of me (yes, and I am the Math teacher), cos they come and kiss me, and asked me about my things, and tell me I have to come back soon. Anyway, today I saw an old old student and I took a pic of him, but he deserves an special post for the time I can post the pic too :-)
And yes, I think today is a good day to thanks my friends. Today I want to thank my urugayan friends. They made me.... feel really good. They made me feel there´s nothing wrong with me, and they don´t really need me to change, they love me "·just the way I am" :-) Thanks you guys! This was easiser than I thought it was going to be, and you and my family are to blame. Thank you also for letting me know it does´t matter what happens, there is a place I can call home.
And after all that love I need to say I still think jews are fucking out of their minds. I understand what is the new way to get what you want: you have to bomb a place out of the map, and they you invade it and install a "democracy". Isn´t it funny Israel says it won´t stop the fire till some UN resolution is accepted by Líbano when they have never follow any resolution of the UN?! Yep, interesting.
And Viva Uruguay! And viva Nacional!

Just to keep this going.
I had a really good time with my friends Viviana and Loredana ho came to visit me for 3 days to Minas. The truth is I want to have some pics to post to talk about that time, and you´ll see why I had sucha great time with them. I think I shoulnd´t ait till this to say... I realize I really ha good friends. My good old friends who know me well. Great times.... But you´ll read about it soon, when I have my pics donwloaded.I came here to say this:
Looks like the whole world agrees with me on one thing now: jews are fucking crazy. So they aited to have the minimal excuse to destroy Líbano. OK, so not the whole world grees, we always have G Bush to back up a good nonsense war. Tht dude should just spend a few hours a day playin Doom or sth like that, maybe then the rest of us could sleep weel.
As I was saying though.... I´m so angry! I atch the news and I just can´t believe it. they are exterminating the whole place. No one does anything to stop that crazy shit. It makes me sick to kno that it´s just about money, power and oil. It´s always the same.
Now fucking jews should at leat stop complaining about their holocaust when they have on their hands so much inocent blood.
So what? Am I bossy, passionate, out of control?
Yes, and I like that. posted by Paula at 3:30 PM

"My next bf will be an athlete".
There you go. And after taking a look to the pic down there... I think he will also have to be a fútbol player.... if it´s possible: italian :-P And yes, I think I will have to take a look of that pic every single time I check my blog.My deaer friend Luis.....
Do you remember what you told me to do with a young urugayan guy? I think I will take your word, and since I´m running out of time.... can I use one of your roommates???
I hope not you nor María will say a thing about this but.... they are really cute, specially "roommate number 2" (I´m awful, I know, I remember the other guy´s name -Martín- but not his). I can´t think of any excuse you will give me to explain why you didn´t introduce him to me right away :-P And I´m deadly serious about you bringing them to our night out (María and I will think of sth and let you know).
So as you can see, I went to visit my friend Luis and not only met his lovely roommates, but his nice gf. She´s really cute, and I can only hope she takes good care of him. He really deserve a good person, and we know how hard it is to find one, how hard it is to realize sometimes we make mistakes judging ppl and how hurt we can get for opening to the wrong person. So María, if you read this: take really good care of him, we both know he´s a delicate thing, like one of those Ming pices of chinnese art that always get broken in a movies, know what I mean?
I had fun with all of them, as ussual, and I hope soon I can show the pics I have.
I also went out with my aunt today. We went shopping again :-P We had lunch at La Pasiva, and of course we had to have one of their great Chivitos Canadienses. Mmmmmm, nnnnnice.
Tomorrow I´m leaving for Minas with Viviana and Loredana. It will be fun to have them 3 days at my place. We have some ideas of what we want to do, and let me tell you one thing: I think I will have great landscapes to take pics and show you guys.
So far that´s all I have to say. Besides, I want to finish this post so I can check the my precious pic again :-P
P.S.: My aunt also think roommate number 2 is very cute :-P posted by Paula at 2:33 AM

Azzurri Campione!
What did I tell you guys! The woman knows! I got 4 out of 4, and I went for Italy since the very beginning, when I saw them wearing those designer suits :-P Well, after all one of my last names is Lombardi, chek the map if you wanna know what I talk about. So I was very happy, and I gotta say I enjoyed the world cup a lot. I´m glad I was home so I could watch all the games.
I was also surprised at Zidane attitude the other day. He definately was the bvest player of the whole thing, but man, he should have control himself and act like the gentleman he always was. I´m kinda happy he still got that prize, cos he was the best, he lost his head (on the italian player-s chest ;-)), but I guess since he was retiring.... he deserved the award.
Now if someone wants to produce the italian shirt for me, I will appreciate it. I want Fabio Cannavaro´s one. But more important: if someone wants to produce Cannavaro itself on my door, I promise to be his/her slave for... a while je je. God damn cute guy!
Did you guys know that the first world cup was plaed in Uruguay?
They used Centenario Field, Pocitos Field (this one doesn´t exist now), and Parque Central, that is Nacional temple :-)
Anyway....
Enjoy the pics :-)

Almost a "P.S."
I kinda went back home yesterday and realized I should have written other stuff on last post, so I came back today. No I didn´t really come back for this, but hey, any excuse is good, isn´t it?! ;-)So I was wondering..... do good psychologyst only exist in movies?
Man, I can see them there, with all their knowledge, always the smart remark, always dyscovering sth the pacient didn´t know. I have met 2 doctors so far, and the truth is.... the bright comments always came on my side! :-P Hey! But seriously!
Yesterday when I was at the cyber place, 2 students came to see me: Jonathan and Alexander Vázquez (yeah, I nkow, crazy mothers put that kind of names to latinos). So Alexander came first, he saw me, talked to me, and went to look for Jonathan. Then I had a little chat with them. I always liked them a lot, took the best care I could of them, cos you know, they are that kind of boys that don´t really receive all the attention at home they should, and they left to believe they are already men when all they want is to play around and maybe flirt with girls.
They aked me about what I did in AZ. They wrote me all along, but they still wanted to hear even about my students there. So they asked about my boyfriend too...
I guess they were always a little jealous. You know what it´s like, students like teahers no matter what. So I told then there were no boyfriend anymore, and Alexander said right away "Good for you, he was awefully tall for you. You can definatelly do better." And I think those were like the more honest words I heard about this whole issue :-P
Big smile on their faces, and a bigger one on mine, cos you gotta admit: it was pretty funny and cute (not to mention the name thing :-P).
And last but not least.... (is that the say?) :-P
So the other day, at La Trampa concert, I told D that I had the secret hope to find the guy who introducemd me to the group. Let´s give him a name: Eduardo.
I dind´t find him, too many people. I though he might be there, but I dind´t look for him, just hope to... see him suddenly. Didn´t happen.
Then yesterday, as I was typing the other entry, I saw him online. He said "It was such a pitty we didn´t see the other day. Víctor told he you were looking for me. I looked for you too, but too many people, it was impossible." The funny/very weird thing is.... I never say Víctor, and I told no other than D about Eduardo. Ain´t that sth?!
So now, after both of us being really confused about all that, we decided to meet next week. It´s going to be really weird. I haven´t talked to him in like... 5 or 6 years. I have good memories with him, and it was funny to dyscover that he had some himself. Things that I never payed attention to, they come back to me now as a memory he has.
Nice :-) posted by Paula at 4:28 PM

La Trampa and more.... but no pics today.
La Trampa. It was a great night. It was really good to know that my country still produces good old fashioned rock and roll groups.
A friend introduced me to that group in 1999 or 2000. I never payed much attention. Then my brother started liking it, right before I left for AZ, and once I was there, away from the posibility to see them, I really got into them too. They have great lyrics and the right image: 4 middle age guys dressed in black, I didn´t know there were still guys with really long hair :-P I will post pics probably on the weekend, just have to check the other link, I will share there some of the lyrics too, trust me: they are really really good.
D came to go with me, so it added to the whole thing too. The night started with ex-coworkers, and then the show at the disco I used to go... all my life I guess, since I was 15. Ain´t that sth?!
Well, when I was there I thought a million things I wanted to say when I typed here, but I will have to start making notes when I can, cos I always forget. And this time it´s not different.
So.... to resume.... GREAT!!!
World Cup.
So my team is still on, do I have a good eye or what? No one gave anything for them, and they looked at me like crazy when I said I was going for Italy. Now I get different looks.
I found myself rearranging my schedule to watch the games. I guess I like fútbol more than I thought I did :-D
I have to admit it made me a little happy to se Argentina out, thought I also got sad: they are our brothers after all, and they were crying so much.... it broke my heart :-P Oh well, it did made me feel a little bad, but not all of them can win.
About Brasil Ana.... What can I say? I have to admit I didn´t like that they were already producing shirts that said "Brasil hexa campeón", cos I think it´s alright to celebrate but onece you have already won, not before that. I hope you don´t get mad at me, si?
Susan Sarandon.
You gotta love that woman! We all know she´s good at what she does: movies. But she´s also political envolved, and she also seems to know what she´s doing. It´s good to know she is out there, and that she´s not alone.
(Yeah, that goes for you facist republicans! Can´t you see Bush is worse than Hitles?!)
6 Feet Under finale
After 6 years it´s all over now.
It was a good show. I don´t know I handle, but I saw all 6 seasons.
I remember watching it with Juan. It was out Sat show. Then I watched it alone, and then my mom started doing it with me.
It had a good ending... I guess the sad part is that when I look back I see myself being so different and changing so many times.... Always with hopes and fears, and dreams and nightmares. And in the end.... always changing. Changing goals. Goals I have achieved and that I had to abandom. All and all.... I think I can consider myself successful...
So many different lives.
I feel like I have lived so many different lives.... And all of them start when I finished hightschool. I mean, I´m not even counting what happened before that. And here I am. I look back and I see myseld surrounded by different people defining what stage of my life I was in. Interesting, I can´t deny that. Some of those life are even shared a piece of time, ísn´t it sth?! So now I sit here, and I wonder..... Who am I gonna be in a few months from now? Who is going to be an important part of my life? Who? When? How? Who am I gonna be and what am I gonna want?
And just cos I need to keep this updated....
Yes I got the comfirmation of my scholarship for next year.
Pics next weekend, I promise. posted by Paula at 6:27 PM
