La Argentina está de viva...

... la puta que la parió!

I just thought I had to write that down before I forget. And all that while I listen to Mariano Mores and Piazzola ajajajajaja. It's not the ppl, it's their fucking governmet, ok? ;-)

I think I didn't say anything about me going to see the Rolling Stone in november. I didn't know if I wanted to, but Marco left me with no option, so I'm going. I'm not a crazy fan, but you know, they are a classic, and soon they'll be dead or really decrepit (is that a word?) to play anymore, so I better do it now. It'll be my own birthday present... though I'm sure I'll think of another and I'll get it too (who will make me happied than I can?). I remember thinking that moving to US would let me attend many concernts, and I haven't gone to any! I went to 3 in Uruguay, and none here, no tengo vergüenza! So I'll open the counter with the Rollings... not bad, ha?!

And Katie and Dama are up to go to California as soon as we have the money... so San Diego... allá vamooooooosssss!!!

"I'm from.... from that working thing."

I'm tired and sleepy, not to mention is late, but if I don't upgrade this now, then when?

Phoenix is a zoo.... Or should I say a jungle? Probably a jungle, cos the animals are free out there. We have different kinds od specimens. Those that the police look for, like this very popular rapist/killer that is making us all shiver, or those less frightening creatures I'm getting to know in the bus' rides. Yep, a jungle adjust better.

I could go on and on about the 10 buses (yep, 10, it's literal here you guys), and the ppl I met there, but I'm so freaking tired that I will let that to your imagination even knowing it won't get half as.... interesting.

Today I got my letter of contract, so it's official now. I saw how much I'm gonna make during this year working with them, and I'm quite happy. Of course knowing that more than 2300 goes to the plane ticket in december doesn't make me happy, but at least I know I will have some left... Europe allá voy!

I also got trapped into the Rollings Stone concert in November. I guess that's the kind of things that even if you are not a big fun, you should do anyway. They are not gonna live forever, and they are a legend. As long as they sing Star Me Up, we'll be cool. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go or not, but this guy got the tickets anyway and... what the hell! I remember thinking that me coming to AZ was gonna also mean me going to a lot of concerts, and I haven't gone to any. So the hell with doubts, I'm going!

And because I don't want that title to feel lonely and disconnecter (I know how that feels), let me tell you that Damaris and I were leaving the library today, and a skinny guy approached us from behind and said "don't you remember me? I'm Brett, from... from.. humm... from that working thing". Did he mean he worked with us? Or maybe that he was from work?

Oh! And my undegrats classmates are idiots. They not only don't know their math, but they act like 15 year old ppl in the class laughing and chatting like they are in the club. Now I can see how they don't have limits inthe library, if they are thisnosy in a class, then what can I expect from them? I'll go over them in the future, there are sure more things to say.

I think I haven't talked enough agout my roomate, Tawni. She's really nice. Last semester, before me going home, it was certainly very nice to have her near. I had her shoulder to cry on, and now we can sit and remember that and just laugh about it.

SAhe took me out twice this week! I went to real chinese food first, and today we went to some place in Mesa and then to movies. We went to see Little Miss Sunshine. It was awesome, I really liked it. Have a great ending, so go and check it out if you can. Made me laugh a lot.. it was a good good ending for my Sat.

I was suppose to stay and do homework that I should have done during the week, but I guess I will be doing it tomorrow. The amount of reading just for Monday (that most definately will be my hadr day) is unbelievable. I didn't do it during the week cos I didn't really know how much is it was. And now I'm sort of screw.

But again... I had so much fun outside tonight, that I don't care.

Should I also say that I have been "chatting" with this guy I met last year? I think I said sth before about him, and I might as well have said his name. It's funny and entertaining :-P

Yeah Luis, this is not gonna be one of the posts you like, what can we do? I'm amazed to say that I don't have things to bitch to every single day.

Rock and Roll is contagious.

What a week!

It's kinda over now, and I'm kinda happy. Yeah yeah, I know Luis you think I have moved from Arizona to some other place like disneyland of sth like that. But you know what? If some other events wouldn't have ruined my Spring semester you would have noticed I thought AZ was great even then.

The rain cought me again on Wed morning. Can you believe that? I probably said it, but here I go again: I spent 3 months in winter and the rain just never caught me. I came to summer in the middle of the desert (LITERALLY), and the raing cought me twice in a week. This time it was inthe morning, but it was nice, cos then the day didn't get to be so hot. I was on a bus stop, going to another bus stop so I could ge tto school. The lightning was amazing! I got alittle wet, but since it got hot pretty quick I was dry when I finally got to school.

Classes are quite good. I think one of them is going to be a lot of reading, and the others are going to be work just cos they are twice a week, so I will have to be working on the all week. I think I liked better having them just once a week. A longer class, I know, but more time to do whaver they want us to do as homework. The professors are cool, I like them. Looks like they will be challenging but in a nicely way. And I'm happy Ahyoung is in one of my classes. I already made some new friends, and that's nice.

Work is good as well. I was worried I was uncouncious of what was going on since I dind't feel that anxious as my co worker Lua, but today talking to Katie I found out she also thinks Lua just want every little detail in place, which probably stress her out more than this job should. So I will keep doing my thing, not over worrying, and just trying to get things straight, like I always have.

And today I met some of the grouup of testers that will be testing this year. There are also new ones, and they are all so cool. I know I will miss spending time with them, and I hope during the year there are many opportunities to hang out with them. I can tell they are really nice people.

I have been downloading all kind of stuff, from Soda videos to Tango (I was just litening to Taquito Militar by Mariano Mores Orchestra), and add some ads with fútbol players on them.

All and all.... good!

Aaahhh Niiiice Day!

Sometimes.... sometimes you gotta envy me :-P

I'm glad some people don't have the link to this blog, so that they don't know how much I enjoy talking with them. And yes, this comment doens't include you Luis.

First I gotta say that yesterday I almost melt. I had to come back from Phoenix to Tempe by bus. This is going to be my routine, but now because of the heat is kinda rough. So I had to wait there for about 30 or 40 min in total for 2 buses. It was like 40 C, maybe more, and I really felt like melting.

I got late to my first class :-( But the truth is that even when the buses were a little late the real problem was the trafficl all around campus. I know better the next time. I rather walk a few blocs and get there late... so I guess better hot than late.

Then I had my second class which was good... everything good and "scary" meaning I still don't know if I can make it with all the work those classes mean. But I always feel like that starting a semester, so I guess I don't have to really stress out about that.

Yesterday I also saw Ahyong, and God I gotta say it again: I was melting. I need to stress how hot it was cos then when I was going home sth happened: one of those crazy electrical stomrs only the desert can afford!!!! Man!! A friend offered to take me home, but both of us ended up drenched by the time we got to her car. We were running with no shoes, under the rain and the lightning!!! I gotta say, it was scary when she was driving not only cos of the electrical part of the story, but also cos Tempe was flooded. It was water all over, and I could see how much water her car was lifting from the floor and throwing to the sides. And she has a big car! But as it was scary... it was also so cool!!!

And all that just for yesterday.

Today, after solving some domestic issue, I gotta say I had a good day as well.

I went to class and my proffesor seems nice. Ahyoung is in that one too, so that makes me very happy. I felt like I could handle it, and I think I will really get a lot from that one. I hate geometry... well, that's not true, I just always felt I never gave it enough time in my student time, so I feel ther's so much I need to know. At the same time I realize I'm quite good at it for the little time I gave it. So we'll see.

But after that I went to see my advisor and gave him the Torres García poster I brought for him from Uruguay. He liked it.

We certainly had a nice conversation. About a whole bunch of different things. He actually also had sth for me: the magazine where he was published, cos that article was inspired by me. Hey! Don't blame me! That's what he said!

We talked about politics, and I think when he's not as radical as I am (am I radical?), he's left sided too. He told me his son went to Cuba, and he gave me a buch of tips for my trip (whenever I decide to take it, maybe sooner than expected?).

And as I was leaving, he gave me a hug... aaaww :-P

But before all that happend (and I'm sorry I'm going back and forward in this post), I had a nice conversation with Nathan over aim. I guess I will start opening aim again now. The other day he told me he was never good at staying in touch with ppl once he stops actually seeing them, but that he was making an effort for me with emails. I think that was cute. And now we are both in aim again :-P

And as I was talking to Nathan, I was also talking to Luis about sex, which is different than having a sex talk with Luis, I hope you can see that. So anyway... I just love talking to you man. We can really understand eachother, and I totally think there are no so much ppl like us around here, and by "here" I mean the world. So it was an insightful conversation, of course, and we could laugh about it too.

And to sort of end the day, I went out to Mesa with my roomate Tawni. It was just as nice. I like spending time with her. She' s a really nice girl, a lot of young people could totally learn from her, and some old people could learn as well :-P

So now I don't know what I'll do, but I will definately try to keep it cool.

I feel like saying... I love you all.. but I guess thats just not true ;-)

So far...

I feel like this time is easier to adapt and adjust to this place. Besides, and I know I shoulnd't make plans, cos it's hard to stick to them, I plan to go back home by Xmas. I don't know if I will make it, but I think I will, so let's wait and see. I wanted to go to Cuba, but I might not be able to come back to finish my master, so I think that trip will have to wait one more year. And I know by then I might be engaged in my PhD, but I guess you always have to risk things anyway. I will play it safe this time. Next time I'll go to Cuba.

About my hours here.... I went to work yesterday. It was training day for me, and it seems like it won't be that hard after all. The only rouch things will be getting to the schools, but since I come from Uruguay, I know how to ride buses :-P
The rest looks promising. They want to hire me for the 20 hours I have available, and that means a really good pay. Of course we have to wait and see how many kids we have in our program, but I think no matter what I'll get to the 20 hours.

I'm also trying to clean my place, cos you know what it's like after trip. And I already know there are things I put away that I have to take out again, grrr.

My trip was awesome. I thought aobut things I wanted to post all the time. Great posts that will never be, cos now I just can't find the emotion to write them again.

I'm doing good. On monday classes start, I hope that part of my life goes alright too. I am optimistic :-)

I''ll try to start posting pics on the other section today, so enjoy.

Back.

I've been travelling for more than 24 hours, so the plan of a good first post from AZ is not longer standing. I hope it's enough to know that I'm alright, in my place, tired and ready to eat sth and sleep a lot more.

I'll post better later... or tomorrow, after my first day of work :-P

4; 3.....

... 2; 1.... AZ?

1 more week to go.

Home is where the heart is, right?

1 more week to go.

It´s just now that I can understand how beautiful my country and my people are. Everything is worth this feeling... this proud feeling.

El Comandante.

So....

From my heart I want to join those that wish nothing but the best to Fidel Castro.

I can´t think bout living in a world without him. I mean, there´s no other personality that will make history like he is, and I want to say I live in his time, Fidel´s time.

I actually am afraid of what could happen when he´s gone. I know the revolution is not just one man, and that there are hundreds of them working for the best of the islantd, but still... He´s the figure, know what I mean? He´s a symbol of resistance, a symbol of the cuban revolution that is the people revolution.

To the cubans: stay strong.

To those that were born in Cuba but eager of the power money buys went to live in US, and that became americans in the worst way, for those celebrating on Miami streets that Fidel went to cirgury, just this: FUCK YOU! No need to explain how repulsive they are to me.

So.... I just wanted to write my message to him.

Viva el comandante Fidel Castro!
Viva la revolución!
Viva Cuba!
Hasta la victoria siempre!
