Somethings never change.

I went out of my way today to watch a TV show. Boston Legal (I think). James Spader used to be my personal sex symbol... next to others. He was so cute and... evil. Or so cute... just like a sad puppy. Now... Now he's creppy. So sexy.

To my left (LEFT, of course), a bd pic cropped that I like a lot.

I am tired. Finals are really making me feel I am not gonna make it to the end of the line. Of course I say this is not like last time. I say this is way worse. But the truth must be said: I htink I felt like this before.. and I did survive.

Someone told me that I was "very pretty" the other day. A random guy. And here guys don't say things to girls on the street... sth I never thought I was gonna miss, since it felt so disrespectful back home. Of course I don't miss some of the things uneducated men would say to women, or creeps would say. But sometimes... sometimes checking out and making a comment won't hurt :-P This guy.. made my day the other day. With no false modesty I can say I have been said to be hot or sexy. But pretty is always... sweeter.

Then on the same line, this guys half brasilians half uruguayans... They are certainly paying me nice complements too. One is the sweetest thing on earth. I can't even start with the nice things he would say to me. The other... the other has said many, but my favourite was when he compared one of my pic with the Venus of Milo. WOW. He compared me with the greek ideal of beauty, and did/said it like nothing. THAT was BEAUTIFUL.

Then because of all those things... I'm amazed how long it took me to realize what they mean when they talk about cultural differences. Now I get it!
Maybe it was because I was so much into a little world where there there was only one man. Whhich at least speak well of my honesty and committment. Now I feel I can compare, and I can see why it's so much easier to relate to uruguayans than to americans. We share codes. It's fun! I am not saying that I like some americans less than a week ago ;-) I'm saying now I see how it's easier to talk to some guys than others, just cos we share culture. Yeah! I know! I know! Not a big discovery! But still, it's not bad to put it here, as a reminder maybe.

Oh! And I booked Aruba today! YEY!

Oh yeah, and somethings never change. Me on the other hand... I change them!

Another awesome Thanksgivng.

Check my blog a year ago. I relly had a graet time with Chelsea's family then. And I said "another", cos today I had the chance to meet more nice people, and feel like in a way or another, I have friends around here willing to let me "have" their families. I'm starting to think that other than Jim and Carolyn, all the great people from this country have moved here.

So last night I went to stay over at Judy's. We have been in 3 classes together, and nest semester looks like we'll have one more... and that will probably be the last one, since she's finishing and I don't know if I'll stay anyway. She had been really nice to me ever since we met. I remember last Spring, when I ws really down, she would even bring me candy to cheer me up.

So Istayed there, and her sons, daughter and husband are great. And they are all wesome looking I have to say. The husband is exactly how she had described him: a very red haired man with a personality that matches. I never thought that a computer engineering could be so much fun, personable, friendly, and easy going. I had met the sons before, I even posted a pic of one of them here, and several in the other section. And the daughter was soooo cute as well. She and I spent quite sometimes together, because you know how young girls are...

And today we went to a party at his dad's and stepmother's house. AWESOME. There were 41 guests, and everybody was so nice and friendly... I had a great time. Looks like this woman prepares her parties well, and I think she has been inthe family for years now. Everybody calls her mom, and she just chases everyone with margaritas. I even had one for breakfast today, at 10:00 am :-P

They live in a awesome place too. The house was beautiful, and the back yard was... a golf course! The party was amazong. She had been cooking and freezing since october, and even I broght some left overs home. I was invited to another 3 parties, which I hope I can attend :-)

On top of that, I met the cutest, 30 year old, 6.9 basketball player, funny and awesome with children man that I have ever met. So so so so so cute. Yes, ladies, 6.9 and looking great. I think it was a post or 2 ago that I said I like tallk guys, right? ;-)

And the plan is....

... ARUBA.

Classes are really close to an end. I have figured out next semester, and now I have to start thinking/dealing with if I want to stay, if I can actually do it, paper work, change of visa... all that stuff. Maybe it will be easy, maybe they'll just say I can not stay, and that will simplify things a little bit :-P Everything can happen.

I won't be going home. I think I said it, I waited way too long, and now the prices are too bad. So last night I started trying to book for Aruba. I said "tryed" cos actually the whole expedia went down (I called them and that's what they said), and I couldn't do it. Now I have extra stuff to solve (amazing the thigs that can happen in just a single orinary morning), and I guess I won't be able to do it till monday.

It's gonna be pretty amazong if I do it. The hotel is located at 4 blocks from one of those heavenly beaches. Casino Casablanca is another 5 blocks away, as it is a butterfly famr... But the best thing is that the island is so small that the rest is close too. They say they have a good bus system, and god knows I am not afraid of buses: if I can take them in Phoenix, I might as well be able to do it in hell. And aruba seems nothing but paradise.

Another thing I have planned is a submarine excursion. It's expensive, but what the hell?! How many times am I gonna be able to go on a submarine? It's like the Rollings concert: it's not like they will be playing a lot longer.

All that IF I can book, of course.

My job is also figured out (vacation time speaking), and I think I can deal with the papers and finals as well.

Chaniging subjects now, and just cos I think it's fair to say, I got a beautiful present for my bd from Carolyn. Or should I say multiple great presents? Ppl tells me how weird it is that we still stay in touch, and I think it's normal. But then I stop to think about it... it's quite a thing! :-)

Boys? Well, I'm embrassing the fact I like younger guys :-P Maybe I did my quote of older (Miguel, Juan, Daniel... and they were quite some years older.. never less than 6). I like tall, skinny, pale, younger guys... Just like Jack Skellington :-P

Do tall skinny, pale, younger guys like me? Judging from last night, I'd say yes.

He thrills me!

It's worth the 9 and a half minutes the video last. David Blaine is awesome, and everytime I see one of his performance, I not only end up with my mouth open in admiration, but also... drooling: this is a damn hot sexy guy!

Saturday, November 18, 2006

So yesterday was my bd, but first:

there are some important other things to say.

After years of getting away with it, the dictator we had on my country was put in jail. This would have never happened in other government than the one we have. So another poing to my president. I'm happy. Yes. I am happy. And I think there is a whole lot of poeple feeling the way I do. It's historical.
My friend Sergio said: "You have no idea what present you got for your bd", and then gave me the news.
It's cool to see that those that onece had a lot of power, and that have been keeping some like forever now, are starting to experience justice.

I was also glad to discover that channel 5 in my country started a free transmition on the net. Awesome! I could follow the news yesterday, and this is really a cool tool we now have.
Another point for Televisión Nacional, that remembers there are some urugayans that aren't able to follow what's going on but through internet. And it's free!!!!

I found out that there was internal election in my party, and contrarie to what the oposition expected, we got even more votes than last time. Last time was during the crisis with the Colorado party, so they thought that the big number of votes was due to that: ppl not liking colorados more than liking Frente Amplio. So since now we are in charge, they were expecting the opposite. And they will have to keep waiting!

Also I found out that not only my president keep being absolutely popular among frenteamplistas, but colorados and blancos don't disaprove him.

All and all... cool!

I would probably write with more emotions if I wasn't this tired.

I got to bed pretty late yesterday after dinner with friends and then dancing. Theplace we went was pretty cool. We had hip hop, country, 70's 80's and 90's, and karaoke. It was a real blast!
Roberto, Damaris, Sean, Katie, Sarah and her bf, Bella and Mario went to dinner, and then all of us but the youngest did the second part.

It was really cool and I had an awesome time.

I also got calls from people in my family, friends from Uruguay, and friends around here... even new classmates that I didn't think they were going to remember.

Uh, and also let's mention my friends from Orkut.... man I'm popular there! :-P

Ana, also thanks for remembering!

I have to say though, that I was sad than an important friend not only didn't remember, but has also been attacking me repeteadly. But I don't want to go on about that, cos I think maybe it's a misssunderstanding.

And to end in a good note... Another guy friend from Uruguay sent me a sexy pic of him! ajajajajaj AWESOME the things I get them to do, ha? Cos this is a serious guy we are talking about. Anyway, just thinking about the whole think makes me smile... no wait, it actually makes me laugh!

Almost 29...

... and celebrating since Monday!

Today Sarah let me drive her car. It was exciting. I have never done it before. It felt easier than I thought. I actually had control over "the machine" :-) It was cool, and I was happy to see someone actually did as she said. And it was brave of her to actually let me drive her awesome car... which name/brand/whatever I won't remember.

Thank you Sarah, you were awesome today. The Nightmare Before Christams T Shirt was really nice too, thanks so much.

Then she took me to her parents house (awesome part of Mesa, and awesome house), and I met her sisted and mother. She helped me trying to figure out the whole plane ticket drama to go home, but we couldn't do it, so I am stuck here for xmas.

I hate this! Tomorrow when they call me and ask me, it's gonna suck so much having to say I can't make it here. I hate the people that didn't pay me on time when I was working and when the scholarship had to pay. Thanks to them I got in bank trouble, and I coulnd't save enough to fo home. Hate them! This xmas is gonna suck almost as much as the last one. I will miss home so much, that the only reason why I hold my tears now it's cos I know I will need them later.

I am tired and sad, so I rather stop right now.

Just thanks.

So yesterday I started celebrating my bd, and it was a lot of fun!

First, judy baked me a cake. She even put a Jack Skellington on it and my name. It was so cute. Her daugther chose napkins with a "P". Her sons and daughter sent me a card. It was very sweet. Another lady that I barely know also brought snaks, and it was all really cute. Quite a class we had. It's alsways nice to know that some people care. Each day makes me thing I did the right thing after all by coming to this end of thw world.

In the middle of the class I feel obligated to say, that they not only sang me, but I got to show the way "we" divide. My korean professor asked:
- Who's "we"?
- Southamerica.
- All countries?
- Well, I can Speak for Uruguay, Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Paraguay, and... (she interrupted me)
- So we know nothing about Mexico then?
- Well, I can't speack for them since they are not in Southamerica.
(staring faces of my classmates)
- Oh right, that is Central America.
So much for geography for that lady.

Then we went out for drinks with Jamie, Jamie, and Dan. My classmate, my exclassmate, and my exprofessor, I have written aboutthem before.
I had a great time with them. I can tell it's gonna be hard to have him back as my professor next semester. I like him so much just as it is now :-P But I will also work with him, and he actually asked me if I wanted to do some extracurricular stuff with them. I couldn't say yes though, cos I have to work at that time.

I got The Nightmare Before Christams soundtrack, and let me tell you: it's AWESOME. Marilyn Manson was difinately the right person.

I also got a pic taken of me with 4 waiters are Chilli's because the Jamie's asked. And of course now I can not go back there, cos I did it today, and I was recognized! ejejejejeje

It was certainly a great time. I am planning on dinner and probably some more on Friday, so sth tells me this is gonna get better.

I shoud also said that I had a really strong margarita last night, that made me really drunk. Really really. Asked Damaris or Nathan, who had to suffed it over the phone later.

And yes, I got a not-so-awkward hug from my ex professor :-P

Yes, today was a beautiful day as well. And so will be tomorrow. I even got cookies as a present by Ahyoung, who didn't even know it was my bd :-P

Soon I'll be posting pics on the other side.

I'm so upset.

So I'mwatching this show "Brothers and Sisters" I think, and then studpid Ally McBeal starts going on and on about how horrible it was for her to be in NY on 9/11. And she cryes and dramatizes. Minutes before made some statement about how the was in Irak was a need. And then she comes and in between stupid tears says sth like "I don't know if I can live in a world where that can happen again".

Well wake up sweet heart! That has been the world we have been living in like forever and thanks to US goverments! Damn you stupid man who wrote that episode, and every other republican on this stupid country! Guess how ppl in Irak feel damn it! Do you think they are all happy and feeling secure?! Do you think that they are living a dream come true? No! Damn american marines are there to make sure it's hell.

Back to my readings, cos obviously there's nothing good on TV.

Short skinny guys in black.

I know I can keep going on and on about how much I enjoyed the Stones the other night, (you did know I went to see them, right?! ;-)), but I guess I have to stop at some point so I don't get you all bored.

I'll add though that Alice Cooper was there. And I mean not as public, but he sang (I was just gonna type "she sang"). Not bad, not impressing.. I was not there for him. No one was, but he did a decent show anyway. And it must be tough have to play right after the Magesitc Rolling Stones!

I'll comment on a funny thing now.

I went to the post office today, my weekly visit there to send a letter home, and I met this guy that could be the arizonian and shorter version of Tony Soprano. He ws being loud on the phone, arguing to some cab serivece person, and asking questions and answered them to himself right after he was done with the first half, not giving time to the other person to do anything about it.
It was funny though. He was told he had to wait from 5 to 30 monutes. He said that was quite a window, and he was showing he waspissed and amusing us all there. The Tony Sorpano thing though, it's sth I won't be able to explain well. You just gotta see the show, and then, only then you'll know.

He goes out, and tell us all he is not sure how long he is gonna be there in case we need him, "it could be 5 minutes, or 10 minutes. Maybe 15 minutes. 20 minutes... You know, what I mean."
Then I go out and wait for the Flash (the bus around campus for ASU students) to come. He's there, and I am afraid he will want to talk about sth, cos he seems to be "chatter" ;-) But hey, he chooses to go for 2 girls, wearing big dark sunglasses. He actually asks them: "Excuse me, I would like to know where do the whole big sunglasses come from". "Quite a line" I think, and feel like he will never notice me after all, since my sunglasses are not that kind of fashionable stuff. They actually make me sick. Don't ask about it.

They answered: "Jacky Kennedy", and give him a stupid smile that says "I know I'm cute, but you are so out of my league, so fuck off". And they keep walking as he does approach to me. But so does the bus, so I know I can smile after all. And then he says: "Thank God you are not wearing those, they are horrible. They all look like bumbble bees flying all around. Scary"

AAAAAAAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA

Gotta Love Tony Soprano!!!!!

P.S.: Did I mention that now I think skinny guys wearing black are terribly sexy?

Where do I start?

I am still to thrill that it's gonna be hard.

Oh yeah, let me say yes, cos I know I will forget later, that last night I saw Alice Cooper performing at The Cardenals' stadioum, my guess it's that it is in Glendale, and what matters is that it's in Phoenix. It turned out Alice Cooper was from AZ, and he even has a restaurant where he playes, and he even has a radio... or at lesat a program there :-P Or so I was told.

I SAW THE STONES LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I have been a Beatle's fan my whole life. I have said that The Stones were evil... EVIL :-P That jagger was a decrepit old man that should be put in a home.

OMG HAVE I CHANGED MY MIND OR WHAT?!

I don't really need to try to convince anyone about the quality of the music, cos man, it's the rollings stones, they don't need me to do that. The show was spectacular! Huge Screen in a huge 4 storie building that was itself a very private VIP section, and also a screen itself. A scenario that slided all the way through the field. Firewors on a semi-covered stadioum. FIRE for Sympathy for the Devil that warmed up the whole place! I am not kidding. A jagger that looked awesome, and run up and down the scenario. He even took a step down it, and run through the rail where the stage moved, and run all across the field. The security ppl trying to keep up with him. He is using a danm he's in awesome condition or fine drugm in any case... I aprove! Huge inflated mouth. I can't tell what else I saw people! It was just so fucking awesome.

Mick Jagger is the only one that looks like he can still sing and... perform. The others seem to be doing their part though . But he was freaking sexy. He's old! I know! He's sexy no matter what. Definately I'm shoosing red and black for my future outfits myself! I don't wanna look good as in Jessica Alba. I wanna look evil look as in Mick Jagger!

Yes yes, they sang Start me Up, and Sympathy for the Devil. I was happy :-D

Turn off: I didn't get the right kind of purse, so I could not pass my camera in. So no pics... FUCK!
When I left the place, I tryed to buy a shirt and they dind't have my size, just lasrge and extra large. And we know when american say large, you can fit 3 like me. Another big FUCK!

But man, it was incredible. I hope you can feel my excitment. I loved it. I hope I have a chance to do it again. I never saw I'd say that. I was never impressed, but I gues... I just love music, and they are the right kind of musicians.

Sick and tired.

Literally. That is why my posts have been so shitty lately. I think my young students passed sth onto me. Oh well, we'll see.

But sth is going on, and I have sth to say.

Hussein is gonna be killed.

When I heard it, I gotta say my eyes were full of tears. But don't get confused. No! It was not happiness tears either! How many different ways of getting confused can a person admit?

This is just the prove that there is a higher pwer in this world, and that no matter who you are, they won't even try to make up excuses, if they want what you have, you are dead. This guy, Hussein, probably deserved to be in jail, but the way things had happened to him... it is unfair. This is not the way he should be going down, and certainly, I have my doubts about the degree of his responsabilitites. Here in US, they paint him as... close to the devil or sth. But they have done that before to others, and we know that was not accurate in the past. Maybe the same thing again? What I am trying to say though, it's that this way, his death only means we have a new Hitler governing the whole world. It is scary that not even the president of a country can scape. It doesn't matter if it was the people who chose him, he will put... to death by Bush. If you don't believe, ask people from haitii.

The trial was a joke. A huge joke. This means nothing. The goal doesn't justify the means. He should have not been inprisioned by US, and US should not be the one in charge of saying if he dies or lives. And some ppl would say to me now that it was iraki people who decided that, but we all know that is not true, end of the story!

In Venezuela the vice president says (taken from La Republica):

En Latinoamérica, el vicepresidente venezolano, José Vicente Rangel, consideró que se debería juzgar por "genocidio" a Bush al ser consultado por los periodistas sobre el veredicto contra Saddam Hussein.
"¿Cuándo se instalará un tribunal que juzgue a George W. Bush? El es causante, de acuerdo con informes de universidades norteamericanas, de la muerte de 700.000 iraquíes y de más de 3.000 soldados norteamericanos", aseveró Rangel.

I'll translate of course:
In Latinamerica, the venezuelan vicepresident, José Vicente Rangel, considered that Bush should be judge for a "genocide", when he was consulted about the vereditc against Hussein.
"When is it going to be install a tribula that judge George W. Bush? The one that caused, according to US universitites reports , the death of 700,000 irakies and more of 3,000 US soldiers?" said Rangel.

More from other important organism across the world (from same news paper):

Here I go:

On top of critizasing death penalty, the organization in defense of human rights, Amnesty International described the trial as "squalid and signed by big mistakes that make anyone ask themselves about the tribulal capacity (...) of administer fair justice, as it is expected for international canons".
Another group that defends human rights, Human Rights Watch, considered that the process was "a lost ocassion of giving meaning to the rights/laws norms" and to make justice for the victims, since it failed in the try of stablish the facts with undoutable proofs.
Many islamics assosiations all over the world deplored that the ex dictator didn't have the "right to a fair trial", even when they weren't denying the crimes Saddam Hussein committed.

A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.
You're totally weird and very proud of it.

Where have all the sophisticated people gone?

Cerainly not to US! But I don't want to get started with this right now, cos I might rant way too much.

Latin Grammys.

It makes no sense that Shakira beated Gustavo... The only thing that makes it a little bit more believeable, it's the fact that he produced her album. She stole the awards though, but I can see in most of the categories the rest of the nominees were quite bad anyway. I guess what I am saying.. to be a little bit more specific... you see, people learn through examples after all... it's that I'm glad Shakira beated Julieta Venegas. I'm kinda happy that in the categories that matter, the south side of the world rocked!

Ricardo Arjona won one award... that has no heaven forgiveness!

But one thing made it all be worth the stupitidy: my baby won Best Rock Solo Vocal Album with Ahí Vamos. Cerati: awesome always.

BUT: Freaking mediocre Julieta Venegas beated Babasónicos?! That was so not clean! She's no one. We all know she is doing nothing new and she has no style. Babasónicos has stlyle! YOu can rant all you want about their music, but man, they have balls! They have what it takes! I am so upset about this award, that if Cerati wouldn't have one that other one, I'd totally be just saying this is just as fake as any award ceremony.

But then again, best rock song was Crimen, by Gustavo. I still like La Excepción better, but oh well, what can we do?

I'm not even gonna get into discussing all the salsa/cumbia/tropical-etc categories, cos that is just no music. Oh well, so I don't sound like such a nazi, that it's definately not good music. That us showing no respect for the other artist or for educated people. I have said!

I'm glad that Pablo Milanés got 2 awards. It's not my kind of music either, although I won't talk shit about it, cos that I can respect. I still think this guys deserve recognition today, tomorrow and always, so good for Pablo.

Mmmm, now that I think about it, those tropical categories... maybe that is the way they found to actually give some awards to the north hemisphere after all.

They do have a category for Tango, and some for Brasil. Fair enough. I have no idea who is the person that won the Tango one, but I'm almost sure my grandfather wouldn't aprove it anyway ;-) But good for Paralamas in one of the brasilian categories!

I'm sorry for the boring post. I did wanted to say sth aobut those awards, but I guess I should also write about why I sound bitchy. I will have to apologise and say that there won't be explanations this time.

Sophisiticated people... people that looks for more than looks and fun.. they are certainly not around here. Maybe Clifton was right. Maybe I should not say US, maybe I should just say AZ. He said "AZ is certainly not known by their bright minds". I hate agreeing with him.

To put a torch in some men's brain...

... can mean to make them actually brighter. Maybe that's the only way after all ;-)

I love you all.... Damn it! I still can't say that and mean it.

But Luis, I do love you. You are a blessing every morning when I wake up. Yeah, a blessing from our right religion, the one that doens't fit the rest of the world, cos the rest of the world is wrong, and I know that cos you said so, and I trust you. The things I have learnt about men with you I had never dreamed about. Thank you for being my master, I'll keep being your pequeño Saltamontes.

Weekend is here. I have to take a midterm actually. I have to meet with Marco. And I have to go to the State Fair.

Next Wed will be Rollings' day, and it's gonna be awesome.

Oh yeah, some people never learn. I try to teach and teach, but they just don't listen. Funny thing: they act surprise when they see I do as I say.

Love you all! Nah, it's not here yet.

It's a thrill!

Finally the Geometry project is done. And I mean, done done. I was happy with the outcome. There are at least 2 more to come. And the only thing to change is the time I have to dedicate to it. I can not do it all in one day. My advisor adviced, so that was nice (damn! it rymes!), and Ahyoung said "he's too nice to you" :-P Like I said, finally, I liked my work.

Have I said antyhing about the sexy lingery I bought? je je So I am saying it now then. Why did I do that? Are there more than one right answer :-P

Ready to leave fot the mall with Damaris. Probably posting some pics of some cute classmates of this class I was talking about in a few sec, while I wait for Dama to pick me up.

Have a nice end of the week. Fridays are always awesome, and mine will be since I'll finally get painted and photographed. Mmm, let me see, did I say anything about that? Oh my! I think I didn't.

I'll participate in an art project. I'll get my flag painted in my... yeah, I coulse say "chest" sno one one faints, but the truth is I like faiting, so I'll tell the truth: in my breasts. And then They'll take a pic of it. The idea is that my friend paints the flags of the corresponding flags to women. The woman needs to be from the country which flag she carries. Then her bf take the pic and I thin there is some photoshop involved. I promise tot ell more about the reasons and foundation of this once I do it, cos then I'll have more info. It's gonna be so cool!! Can't help but feel like checked out, but I won't! It's a thrill!

I was not gonna post again but...

... my advisor wrote me back about a question I asked him, and then added that I had to go see Sweet Land, cos the main character reminded him of me. Not only phisically, but also in her character. And I thought that was terribly cute. So I had to write it.

I'll have a good night, hope you do too.
